| vanquish axle questions
I am Making parts list for my Wraith build and just wanted some input on the axles. 1. The Currie F9 is the newest version of the VP axles right? The Rockjock was out before those? On amain I see they have it listed as AR60 F9. What is AR60? I think it is the one I would want for my wraith but just wasn't sure what AR60 meant. 2. Are the f9's just as good as the rockjocks? Can I still use the scale knuckles and everything you can use on the rockjocks? 3. Also I was debating getting the centered pumpkin currie. Is there any issue with running the centered rear and offset front or would I want to run both centered or what? |

AR60 has most to do with the width of the axle which is stock Wraith/Bomber/Yeti/AX10 width. Yes the F9 is the newest Vanquish Currie. Yes all parts are interchangeable between stock/F9/rock jock. No issues with running a centered with an offset front. Several have that setup including myself.

Are there any updates between the f9 and the rockjock? Or is it just a different look? I kinda like the rockjock look a little better.

| Re: vanquish axle questions The F9 uses a larger inner pinion bearing for added durability. The Rockjocks use the same size bearing as the stock axles which are known to fail under hard use.

Oh I thought that bearing was made bigger with the v2 ocp axles? Even if not, is that the bearing you can use that traxxas oillite bushing for? I am also wondering do I use the stock rear axle shafts for the rockjocks and f9? Last edited by slapjack; 04-28-2016 at 11:47 AM. |

| Re: vanquish axle questions The V2 OCP, Rockjock and F9 are all different axles, the V2 and F9 both use a 13mm inner pinion bearing, the Rockjocks are stock sized. Stock shafts work fine assuming you're getting an offset rear, centered housings come with the correct shafts.

If I were to buy the rockjocks then decide to try the f9s am I able to just buy the f9 pumpkin and swap it out or do the f9s have different tubes and truss? Or will it work to just change the pumpkin?
