Don't get them. Personally I like these

1. Gmade Piggy backs

2. Proline big bores

3. Kysho Red velvet (haven't run then heard good things)

Ok, thank. I wasn't sure about them. I was originally thinking the proline shocks. Are there different proline ones? Should I be using the slash power strokes?

one of our club members has a set on his current build, they work really well. I'm looking at buying a set myself for my tuber build.

I have a set on my wroncho, they are a nice shock. But they pretty much have to be in line or they don't move much I had a heck of a time trying to get them to not bind when articulating.....I got it as about as good as it will get.

There eyelet is to small for side to side movement as in movement from tire to frame. Hope that makes sense lol.

Traxxas big bore 2662 are the best bang for the buck at $18 shipped for a set of 2. Hard anodized aluminum, super smooth, fit Axial 14x70mm springs like a glove. They do require ProLines universal shock hardware kit for the upper shock balls but so do ProLines powerstrokes because they are not included.

ProLines powerstrokes are nice but around $50 a set and are not as smooth as Traxxas big bores. You also have to buy $20 spring tuning kits as opposed to a $6 pair of axial springs. I haven't tried the ProSpecs yet but hear they are about the same as powerstrokes.

Kyosho Velvets are incredibly smooth, completely leak free and also fit Axial 14x70mm springs perfectly. They are around $50 a pair but I snagged a set for right at $40 shipped from eBay so the price varies.

If you want quality and performance avoid anything with Boom in the name. Boom racing, boomerang, etc. Boom must translate to blingy garbage in Chinese.

I have two sets the first set leaked due to the coating coming off the shaft.I only used them on two outings.
I used green slim on them. They were replaced under warranty and I wont be using them again.

Is it just me or are these the ugliest shocks. With the big hoop to the res. Maybe just not for me.

Traxxas big bores are the best bang for the buck bar none. Neither any of the chicom companies now rc4wd makes a shock in the same quality catagory as them.
