Default BEC/Steering Question

I'm running a 7950 and just installed a Castle BEC at 7.4 and HH Bypass adapter after not having much luck with a No Brainer. In all fairness, I think I might have a bad No Brainer. Anyway, the Castle seems to have made the steering a lot stronger and a lot more predictable, but it will still lag a split second or 2 every now and then. Sometimes at speed, and sometimes on the rocks. All other times, it's lightning fast responsive. I'm running the stock RTR ESC, TX and RX. What should I expect out of it? It will still sometimes bind up in the rocks and not be able to turn. Is that normal, or should I expect the steering to have the balls to push the truck in almost any situation? I'm running titanium links and all metal parts so no give there. Thanks!

Default Re: BEC/Steering Question

are you sure your CCBEC's output is producing 7.4v ?

did you check the BEC's voltage output using a voltmeter to be sure ?

Did you change the CCBEC voltage default setting using the CC link ?
Or was that done for you ?
You're positive the CC link was connecting with the CC link correctly...
And that the setting(s) adjusted in fact were saved during re-programming ?

I have some experience using both the CCBEC and HH's RX by-pass "Y"
I utilize them on both my 1/10 and 1/6 crawler's.
I've never had issue running either.

Granted I don't run the 7950, but it's a respectable amount of torque
so doubt I'd think to fault the componets if they were fresh/new.
plausibly a set up/programming issue, would be my guess.
