Default Vanquish disc brakes on their Currie axle - problem on rear

I just mounted my new Vanquish front disc brakes on my Vanquish Currie axle without any problems (except needing a spacer kit for the KMC XD-795 wheels so calipers wouldn't rub on the calipers) but not having any luck on the rear axle.mApparently I didn't understand when ordering that they only fit with Vanquish lockouts. There is a mounting hole on the left rear Currie axle for the disc brake caliper bracket to screw on to albeit farther inward than I would have liked. The real dilemma seems to be the right rear. There is no pre-existing hole to mount the bracket to. I was thinking of drilling and tapping a hole at an appropriate place to mount the bracket. What do you all think? Is there a better way to mount it. If not drilling and tapping, would JB Weld hold up?
