Default Help with wraith diff locker.

So a while back I ordered some hot racing diff lockers for my wraith. My issue is I can not keep the back left axle shaft in no matter what. I've tried using lock tight blue. And nope....nothing. Just getting frustrating being out on a trail and going down to 3wd any help of info to fix it? Or a link to a better diff locker for the rear. Only changes I made to the truck is I put some aluminum rear lock outs on it but that shouldn't mess with it I wouldn't think. Thanks guys. Here's a pic of what I'm talking about.

and one of the rig just for fun.

That's it=) thank you for the link. Have to say I'm pretty disappointed with the hot racing ones. I've ran into several issues with their products lately sadly. Also ordered some aluminum high clearance knuckles and they rubbed on the stock beadlocks screw heads on the inner lip.
That's the one I was originally looking at but was having a hard time seeing where the shafts slide in. Wasn't sure if that was right or not.
But....just paid for the locked up one so hopefully that solves my issues

All of those screw type lockers have the same issue coming loose. Hopefully it didn't damage the axle shaft too badly. I've had felsenfest, vp and grip fab set screw lockers come loose repeatedly. The biggest issue with that style of locker is the variation in axle shaft lengths. A short axle will barely get to the screw on the ring gear side. Once the screw comes loose it will round off the tip of the shaft.

I finally solved the issue on my longer shaft equipped axles by sanding the face of the set screws flat so they seat on the shafts better. I clean the threads with a tap then brake clean, run the set screws through a die then clean them with brake clean too. I hit them with a touch of red thread lock from harbor freight (it's between red and blue loctite in strength) and now they stay tight.

I've since switched most of my rigs to holmes lockers. Cheap and pretty much bombproof.

The shaft looks ok for now. But that's really good advice. Hopefully I can avoid the issues with the new part I ordered.

Solid steel lockers just flat hold axles. There is nothing to come loose or fail. You won't have any issues with the new part.

Sweet!! Yeah I wasn't about to keep trying to make it work when a new spool is only 20ish dollars. Just wasn't sure what one to get. For now though might try the advice you have to get it going for the 4th weekend until the new one arrives.
