Default Heavy or not?

Just weighed this thing. 7lbs 12oz. with batt. Considered heavy? Just curious as I am reading that people choose their tire compounds sometimes depending on how heavy their truck is. I myself just bought these VOODOO KLR (gold). Thanks!

I consider that on the lighter side. 8-9lbs is common, and 10-12 is on the heavy side. JMO

I think the question must be, is it better to be lighter or can heavier be ok?

Physics tell me lighter is better every time - provided you can get a low enough centre of mass. Does that run true for full competition crawlers?
