That might have something to do with the insane 4s power your running! I'm running a roc412 on 3s so I'm guessing I won't have that problem.

I picked up the BMRC 2 for 1 deal too for the bomber. Not nearly as tight as the FI spools in my wraith. Video of them when new in the front using axial universals. The rear isn't really any tighter either.

People have good experience with the Grip Fab spools? They seem to be around for a while and only $23 isn't bad.
Grip Fab spools are great. I've been running a pair for 5-6 months now in my brushless Wraith and no problems at all. I also had a chance to work with the vendor who makes them and his customer service was top notch. You chose wisely.

LOL, surprisingly enough I never broke anything while giving it throttle. Every single one broke when I came to a sudden stop. My guess is rotational weight/force was the factor. Upgraded to Dlux FBA axles and haven't looked back!

Hot Racing spools used to be my favorite cause they are simple, strong, and cheap. They have since creeped up in price so now for a few dollars more the LURC FI spool is a wayyyy better deal. Best spool out there IMO.

Bringing this post back alive and wanted to ask if anyone has pics of the Locked Up RC spool installed in their Wraith.

I could take a pic but it's packed with marine grease. Any specific thing you are looking for?

Not much to see, but I snapped this for you just now, hopefully I wiped off enough grease for you to see what you're looking for. That's a LURC heavy weight F.I. spool in the front of my Wraith. I also have the standard weight and Vanquish/Incision spools in various cars and they are all of similar quality, the Incisions are probably a few grams lighter than the others (speed holes!) but the F.I. spools are definitely the tightest fitting.
