| one shot one kill tuber assembly
i picked this chassis up on ebay not long ago wanting to do a "tuber" build. After some research i found out its a super old school mattzilla chassis that was made around the time the wreckluse and timberwolf chassis was popular here are the ebay pictures these were built for ax10 axles and were known for tipping over due to a narrow track width. My plan right now is to put ar60's under it and some big beefy tires. I have gathered some parts, biggest problem is getting/making links right now. Build progress will be slow, especially when i get to electronics but hopefully it will be entertaining to somebody |

I'm sure you will have it back on track soon enough! The best things come to those who weight. 149 r/c worx team driver |

turns out I ordered the wrong tires. Links should be here next week so i can at least mock up the axles with the wheels and see what it will look like. i got the link lengths from an old wreckluse thread. Im hoping that this chassis and the wreckluse are close enough that the links will transfer over..... fingers crossed! If anybody has compared the 2 chassis i would love it if you could ease my mind a bit haha! Last edited by onebullet; 07-22-2016 at 12:22 AM. Reason: spelling and added progress info |

If the lingths are off you can put longer rod ends on to fix you up! Low cost fix. 149 r/c worx team driver |

got some parts in the mail today. First i want to thank nerby at 149rc worx for setting me up with all the links and some other things. Also want to thank snapon boy for providing the shocks and some other bits i will need later axles and suspension links. Axles are stock take offs from a poison spider wraith rtr. I came up with lengths from this thread My Wrecked Wraith build traxxas ultra shocks from snapon boy. One set with the shock cap mod(not pictured). got the front end under it tonight, the front link lengths are an exact fit for the servo plate to move up between the frame rails..... that means the server isnt going to happy when the suspension cycles up. I came up with 2 solutions for this, trim out most of the cross brace from the chassis or get a dlux g10 truss..... both are things i didnt count on doing. I dont have the tools to trim the chassis so i think the truss is about my only option. That will get the servo off the top of the axle and hopefully make it good to go. I was also thinking about a CMS but i think i would need to make my own brackets, which again i dont have the tools for. Anybody have other ideas? im pretty stoked with how this looks right now. I think/hope it turns out to be a bad ass ride, im pretty certain it will. Right now im trying to figure out what servo to use. I would rather not use something with a BEC because i dont know how they work and, to me, just makes things more complicated. Any suggestions for budget friendly electronics are greatly appreciated. Hopefully by the end of the week i will have it as a full roller with the drive lines and trans hooked up. thanks for looking |

I would run the DLUX truss, always the highest quality from them

made up my mind and im going to get shorter links made. Im doing that because i really dont want to trim the chassis and im unsure that the dlux truss will clear the front brace. At this point i only need to buy an rx/tx and a servo. |

did some more work. Have both axles under it, all 4 shocks on with 2 sets of scx10 springs (thanks nerby), trans/motor and drive shafts are in. I should take the axles off and flip them around but right now they work and i just dont feel like doing that. my tires and servo should be here today. Still waiting on the rx/tx and a y adapter for the BEC |

I now have a monster truck! This thing is so much bigger than i expected with these tires on it. Hopefully it doesn't make for a ton of tip overs. Last edited by onebullet; 08-05-2016 at 06:09 PM. |

Take the extra set of springs off those shocks and bring that thing back down to earth from orbit... holy hell.

i might do that. Going to wait and see how it goes. Im building it just to fool around with so performance is secondary to fun. right now it looks cool and im excited about it so that is a good mid point for me. |
