Try McMaster-Carr, Googly search etc. Self-tapping or machine thread? I just bought some machine thread online the other day.

I picked up some 2.5 from Fastener Express and they worked fine.

I use Albany County Fasteners | Stainless Steel Fasteners and More, they're the cheapest I've found and have always been good fasteners. Just as a random comparison on M3x16 - Fastener Express is $3.29 for 20 and ACF is $1.25 for 25.

I get my vehicle-specific kits from Team KNK but to stock up I use ACF. Here's my last order, 625 pieces, just over $26:
