| I Finally fixed my Wraith AR60 axles
Yeah Baby When I built one kit Wraith and the second Wraith as a pile of parts off Ebay I Had a problems with the screws on the C-hubs and Lockouts Not staying tight or falling out, even after using Locktite I tried rotating the lockouts and made new holes and they stripped out I recently made my own axle tubes out of 1/8'' pipe nipples Did 2 sets of normal lenght SCX10 axles and one set of XR Modded axles That I modded my self using pipe fittings and the pipe nipple And like the solid feeling of threads, when I tightened the screws On the C-hubs and Lockouts on the SCX10 axles So I took the scrap pieces of tubing and cut 8 pieces 3/4'' long And then hand drilled the axles, so the tubes went into the axle far enough So that the bearing is flush with the end of axle for the front axle shafts on the front axles The rear axles the tubes are flush with the end of the axles cause the bearing is in rear lock outs One set of axles has universals that came in the Wraith kit, the other set is dog bones and axle shafts that came of Ebay in a parts lot My mini axle tubes work with both front axle setups Now the screws will stay tight and like how they came out Last edited by kgb424; 10-02-2016 at 11:39 AM. |
