Default Motor help

Ok everybody need some help here. I have a wraith and currently have the HH BR-XL ESC Paired with HH 13t crawlmaster on 3s and love the performance but decided I need to go the brushless route due to running in a lot of dirt and sand. So here I am wondering what motor would give me the performance of the crawlmaster? Maybe a little more wheel speed. I prefer HH motor but will pair this with mmx pro. I have already upgraded all drive line with mip shafts all metal gears. Currently run 10/56 gearing w/standard gearing front rear diff,s. Primarily use this for trails w/some crawling

Any advise?
Todd

Holmes says the 13t Cm is 2250kv so any brushless the same kv will perform about the same, but I'd definitely aim for a 4 pole for smoothness/torque & obviously sensored.

CrawlMaster Pro 540 - CrawlMaster Series - Brushed Motors - Motors

a 3000/3100kv would give it a shove, or as allanon says above a 3500kv, that'll give it a real kick in the tail.

Thanks for the quick response guys. I was looking at the 3500kv but afraid it's to much? Been leaning towards the 3300 range and really want the 4 pole but dont see that kv in the puller pro series only the trail master which is 2 pole. Thoughts on the 2700kv?

I have the HH PP 3500kv in my Wraith and it's a tad fast. I'd get a 2700kv if I had a do-over, but am still more than pleased with what I have. If you go with a 2700kv or even 2200kv you can always volt up if you want more wheel speed.

Thoughts on the stubby? Not sure where I seen it but read somewhere not a good idea to use the stubby in a wraith anybody know why.

John Holmes has stated the stubby is perfectly adequate for a Wraith. You'd probably want the standard if your rig is going to weight more than ~10 lbs.

Well after much debate I think I'm going for the 3500kv. I know it's going to be a big change from the 13t crawlmaster but all the research I can find on Holmes motors this seams to be the go to motor for wraith because of its range.
