Default scx10 trans in wraith

So is it a direct swap to use an scx10 transmission in a wraith?

It is, but you will need a longer output shaft on the rear to use the driveshaft...or possibly get a longer driveshaft..

DMG makes an adaptor plate that's straight bolt for the difference in pattern. I don't remember who makes the shaft extension.

Hot racing makes a extended drive shaft that should work for 14. Bucks

The DMG adapter plate is for bomber to scx conversion. The wraith and scx have the same bolt pattern.

I'm in the wrong forum, then. It'll bolt right up but will further away from the edge of the skid without an extension. I trimmed a little off of my Wraith skid when I used an scx tranny for mock up while waiting on my Wraith tranny to arrive.

Holmes Hobbies offers several one piece outputs for SCX and Wraith style transmissions. This one allows you to run an SCX trans in a Wraith or, if you turn the output around, will allow you to clear larger driveshafts such as Traxxas Maxx shafts without hitting the spur. It'll also enable you to run a larger spur and avoid contact with the front driveshaft. Very versatile and very strong. I have two of these in different trucks and they've been great. Here's the SCX style trans housing with the Holmes output next to a Wraith trans.

I have the same as above on Holmes and I have one in my shafty that's from hot racing. Both work well.

Super shafty also offer SCX10 gearbox outputs for the Wraith. Kit has both the extended for the rear and short one for the front. 6mm diameter too for the bigger MIP driveshafts. I have them and they work well in the VP SCX10 alloy gearbox.
