Default Custom Body Panels

Started this project last night. Any suggestions from those who have done this as well.

Play with cardboard for a while, then cut the panels in pairs. File folders are a perfect card stock for templates.

Thanks for the suggestion. How did you make your bends to round over the frame?

I found a template online for the side panels. They're shorties and don't wrap around the back but are spot on with bolt hole markings. The roof and hood were more difficult.

I use poster board for mocking.

I've found these work well for bending aluminum...

If you want to do custom panels, best way is to buy some construction paper. Fold it how you want, where you want and trim it. Then lay it down on some aluminum sheeting and cut from there. $12 tin snips from Home Depot or a crappy set from walmart and you're good to go.
