Default Servo yes. Power forward and rear no.

Went out today for a crawler event and mid day started having issues with connectivity? Servo would respond but forward/reverse would not? New batts in controller and a fresh 3S batt in rig. No help. Just dead. Gotta be a bad ESC right? Runnin' a Tekin 35T motor with the stock Axial ESC that comes with the Wraith Spawn. Servo is a Protek 170T. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks dudes!

It's this a brand new combo 1st time out of have you run this a lot before?
My first inclination is the protek servo has likely overloaded the internal bec, except the symptoms seem slightly off.
I'd be testing the motor directly on a battery just to double check that hasn't hung or even eaten a brush or gone open circuit.
But it does sound more like a dead esc, the ae5 is a basic budget esc at best.

Yup think you are right. Thanks for the advice! Have an external BEC and I've run it like this for the last two years so I'm thinking the stock ESC is just tired and finally gave up. Thinking maybe I'll try that new Tekin waterproof one?

Ah, yeah with an external bec you've answered that question, I didn't think symptoms were really right for bec failure/overload.
If definitely not a motor problem then new esc it is.

Tekin RX4 looks like a beast, 8A internal bec & all. Ideal if you have aspirations of running brushless later.

Is a whole lot of $ to drop though if you intend to stay brushed,

Turns out it WAS the motor! Took it apart and cleaned out inside of can/magnets with electrical parts cleaner and also wiped down the rotor. Really, really dirty. Put it all back together and tested it with a batt. directly to motor wires and the thing sung like a bird and nearly jumped outta my hand ! 100% all good and running like a champ again!
