Length of shocks Hi! I`m thinking about buying some different and slightly longer shocks for my Wraith Spawn RTR. I have found some that are 108mm in length (between center of mounting holes). Is this a good lenght for a Wraith that will only be used for crawling or should I buy even longer to get better articulation? |
Re: Length of shocks That will be relatively similar to stock length. I think stock are 100mm. or 110mm. I can't remember. But either way you'll be right in there. I think the gmade's I bought are 103mm. |
Re: Length of shocks I'm currently using a set of 90mm Honcho shocks and like them better. Articulation isn't everything it seems. |
Re: Length of shocks I have 105 mm rcfwd shocks with dual springs and I like them they rebound is way better than stock and they are a little softer took a little getting used to but it's all in the adjustments you like and your driving style |
Re: Length of shocks Will these be to long for the Wraith? 130mm (4) ALUMINUM OIL SHOCK OR AXIAL WRAITH ALLOY SCX10 AX10 Red | eBay |
Re: Length of shocks Those 130mm shocks will lift your wraith. Stock is 103mm. So you would be lifting the truck 27mm basically. I would recommend staying closer to stock length. 130 is too long IMO. I have some Gmade 103mm shocks, I really dont recommend them as they do leak some. But overall they work pretty well fro the price i paid. |
Re: Length of shocks I like my 90mm scx10 shocks better than the original Wraith shocks. |
Re: Length of shocks I found two sets of Yeti front shock pull offs on fleaBay for about $20 shipped. They use a shorter, stiffer spring spun up but the Wraith springs will fit when spun down. I used a Red and a Purple and so far so good. They have bigger shock body and a bigger shaft but are only about 93mm eye to eye. |
