Default Pictures of Wraiths with 2.2 TSL SS XL's?

Hi folks. Anyone running these on a Wraith and have some pics? I love the TSL and had the smaller 2.2 5.4's in the past. I can't help think from the limited Video and pics that I dont like the taller look of the XL. But I'm struggling to find many pics.

I dont want to shell out for them and regret it. Any help appreciated.

I've got two threads with pics of my Wraith running Super Swamper XLs.

My mostly stock Wraith: New to RC and my first post - crawling on NEW land!

After changing to Matzilla chassis: Vera + Mattzilla = Verazilla!

Thank Mike. I'll have a look now. You like them? Think the extra height is beneficial? I'm running Voodoo U4 Silvers at the mo and they are great. I'd hate to swap for something worse~! I have the stock Wraith BFG's if I want to make things challenging.

They look great on the MZ Rock Bouncer. Mines a Scale-ish Jeep and I can't help think they are a touch too big. I may go for the original 5.4's. Thank again.

I like these tires and am still running them. When I chose them I was looking for as much ground clearance as I could get. Since then I've steered this rig more toward a U4 style and would probably be better off with shorter tires. I'd say if you're on the fence get the smaller ones. It's a lot easier to change a line or bump over an obstacle than it is to lower your COG or carve out wheel wells.

Thus is all I had on my phone. I love the tires. More so over my RB2'S.

Another fab looking rig there. I appreciate the pics folks. I think for my driving style I need the original sorter TSL. You guys saved me from making a rash purchase. Much appreciated.

...Wraith drive under the jeep body

but what I wanted to point out
is the size difference of the PL TSL XL and std SX tire sizes.

My Jeep is sporting the 2.2 PL TSL XLs

Whereas my trailer is sporting 2.2 PL TSL std SX tires.

^ both mounted equally on 2.2 X 35mm width wheels
utilizing CI's Deuces Wild inserts.

at a glance nary a difference can be seen.
maybe 1/4" difference if positioned side by side.

The std SX tires were easier to install then the XLs were
just my experience.

Here's that side by side comparison.

The 2.2 SX is in the foreground - to the right of the XL in these pictures.

...OK ...so what have I won ?

I'm not promoting one over the other other.
Just throwing it out there for you to see and make your own decision.

But realize this...

My 1/6 Jeep body makes 2.2 XL tires look rather small.
More to scale of a 35" tire (1:1)

Mounted up on a stock Wraith... the XL's will look much bigger.
and the SX size isn't really small either.

So the XL's 5.80" height is equivalent to a 58" (1:1) tire
when mounted on a 1:10 scale crawler.

I've had the SX in the past on a Wroncho. It has been my favorite tire hence looking at another set. 0.4" does not look too much different side by side. They are to run on the Jeep below. I ran Baja Claws for a long time which were too tall and thin in my opinion. But the XL's are a little wider and not too much taller than the Voodoos I am running now.

Claws:

Pulled the trigger. Bought the XLs. As big as the Claws but wider and I love the tread pattern.
