Out of my 7 crawlers everyone had bent the solid 1/4 alum lower links. After they were rebuilt all the lowers were replaced with stronger links. So yes alum. bends.

Titanium can bend in an impact, sure. There have been several cases of the stainless incision links breaking the threaded portion off of the link though. Many companies have links for the wraith but most use 3mm threads and small rod ends so pay attention while shopping. You really can't go wrong with the titanium links. |

If you're looking to save some money the Incision line is a very solid choice.

Grab some 5/32" music wire, a stack of 4mm dies, a vice, a torch, Jato ends and a whole lot of patience. You'll have indestructible links. As in actually indestructible. Patience is the key ingredient there, it's rough. |

I find that plain old 3/16 solid steel rod works great..after many tumbles the are still good..the rod cost me under 4.00....thread the ends and put on revo rod ends. Some of the rod you can get is plated or galvanized...either works fine

I made this link out of 3/16 stainless rod threaded with a 10-32 die. Just takes drilling out the rod end a little to get them threaded on. |

Mine was 8/32 NC and I ground down the end of the steel rod slightly to get the Die to thread up, then the revo ends threaded themselves right on.

Incision links are cheaper as they use 3mm end screws to secure the rod ends. They pull out quickly . The 4mm VP solved that issue Hang up and Drive |
