Picked up the old girl on fleabay, she has been rode hard.......
Went thru front axle, threw stock steering links out, SSD on the way.new bearings, HD gears, incision locker with new screws. All steering upgrades are sitting as one top hat was missing, Tower stocked ! And grabbed a set of MIPs with Traxxas 4mm pins. order time will be next Tuesday
Inspect and replace front and rear with a VP stage one kit. Thought links would last, new VP coming.RPP spare pinion, sensor cable .
Then I ordered droop parts and a roof from AMF , and a cf hood
Before

During

Motor / esc Tekin17.5 with a HHBLE

Spent a bench day and rebuilt the axial shocks, I'm running the TALL prolines in front, the stock rear yetis with metal caps and custom valving may need more spring, but close.
Has great flex , but not tooooo soft
More to come, few more upgrades on the way ... MIPs, TI links, hood and a roof to match my panel work, even made a sweet tray for electronics

Still no clue, it might be the hexes.

Made a few panels today, sides and a rear shelf to hold the esc under the seats.... lookin like it might work
Waiting on a AMF roof and a CF hood.
I started with Harley's cad PDF pattern, threw it out as useless, didn't fit !

Installed some links and the lowering kit..... getting there, roof panel works well, CF hood is killer, need to cut a couple of shock pockets in it

Found an issue and was easily solved. After installing the lift and softening the shocks major stoppage as the servo smacked into the frame. Well much to my surprise, it was installed backasswards !
So now I have full travel, put a set of blue/blue springs in the prolines and unreal suspension ! Went sideways around things I never thought about with the R1 !

Bit more cutting, cut the brand new hood, and put in a set of rear pins to locate the front caps. First part of the old fastback mod done, the Zona arrived.

Looking good mate are you going to paint the panels? Freekyskinz make some awsome skins for the wraith. That bonnet looks trick though so don't cover that.....and stop bashing on the R1 please lol

Thanx, I think the tins will stay bare, still inner fenders to fab.I loved my R1, until this changed my mind. Same tires, motor, shocks, and this one embarrassed my R1

No the shocks are a combination of stock axial rears, with metal caps, 3 hole pistons,35w.
The others are Proline Yeti rears also, also with 3hole pistons, now running blue/blue springs.
These rigs see rip rap primarily so tall suspensions and good tires are a must.
