Default Why no competition to the Wraith?

I'll start by saying that I absolutely love my Wraith and think its worth every penny. Why is there no competition from other manufactures? I'd say the closest competitor is the bomber. I know there are other IFS rock racers out there, but no 2.2 solid axle scale buggies...that I'm aware of. I only ask because competition breeds better products at lower prices and it seems axial has the market to themselves.

Because it's an oddball to begin with. It's not a comp truck and it's almost a scaler but not.

It is however, a marketing ploy that got a few people in there.

Hmm...didn't realize that. Seemed to me based on aftermarket support and general popularity around the internet that the Wraith (and Bomber) were wildly popular.

When I was looking for a crawler I wanted something very scale, but also extremely capable. Seemed to me the Wraith beat-out trucks like the SCX10 in both categories. The Wraith axles are about the most scale I've seen anywhere and I feel its very scale for what it is: a rock buggy. I'm not knocking the 1.9 scale ladder-frame trucks, as I'd like to get one in the future, but they just lacked the crazy capability I was looking for in a first truck.

Still seems to me that someone else would build a similar vehicle to compete since the wraith RTRs are constantly out of stock.

I'm sure people will say it's a scaler. I got friends that love it. They like peeling out uphill in dirt. That's about the extent.

If I had one it'd be a full on goofy top truck challenge thing.

The SCX is very capable of keeping up though, and on 1.9 tires.
