| Power Hobby 55t and Hobbywing Crawler Brushed esc?
My Wraith Spawn kit came with a free Power Hobby 55t 540 motor and a Hobbywing Quicrun Crawler Brushed esc. What can I expect from this as far as performance. It's temporary so if it doesn't hold up too well It wont be a disaster. I've had a few Hobbywing products before and like the brand but Power Hobby is new to me.

I've got that same ESC on a heavy Bomber and pushing a Traxxas 550 with a 5000mAh. It performs excellent with low crawl and some bouncing wheel speed. It's a keeper if you stay brushed. As for you motor? I don't know. Run it until it smokes. |

55T is very slow. You can expect a very slow Wraith. But it should have a lot of torque to crawl up and over things. The ESC is the best brushed ESC you'll find for $20.

I have an Axial 55t with stock gearing in my Wraith on 3s. I think its about perfect for crawling and trail running. Tons of torque. If you put it an open yard or driveway it seems slow. Depends what you want to do with it.

Both are correct. Try a 3s pack and see how you like it.

RC4WD's 540 crawler motors can be had for about $10 a motor. I run an 80t on one of mine with it geared tall. Slow, steady, and can easily spin the slipper.

Should be fine. The ESC is a keeper for sure... if not in this truck, maybe in a future truck.
