| Shocks
So i know this has been covered many times before. But what cheap shocks should i get for a basher wraith thats going to go fast and do some crawling. Probably stick with the stock length unless someone has a strong arguement as to why not. But what is there other than powerstrokes and big bores?

I've used a couple of the axial ax30092 shock sets. Keep an eye on ebay and the can be found plenty cheap. Don't leak and perform just as theyre supposed to. You will want to play with the springs though as the stock ones are good for bashing but for crawling you will want the softer ones

We have been using King 110mm shocks on our wraiths......they are about 40 bucks for a set of two. They are nice!

Whats wrong with Powerstrokes? The kings suck. Don't listen to anybody that says they are great. The do not hold oil, huge tolerances, bad spring rates, dual spring not dual stage and so on. All looks, no function. Gmade XD's are pretty nice but if you're considering spending $40 for kings then you're not looking for cheap. Traxxas GTR's are really nice and only $25 for a pair.

| Re: Shocks ^ TRA # 4962, Traxxas Alloy BB's, 100 mm, set of 8 = $ 60. (ish) on ebay. Designed to fit the Traxxas E-Maxx/T-Maxx 2.2/3.3 You could purchase TRA # 2662 if only wanting pairs. But they come without C. springs and cost more when purchased as a pair. Sell the four you don't use... and your cost is only $ 30. for four. IMO there is no better quality alloy shock at this cost. I also agree that GMade and Traxxas are great places to go for inexpensive, but high quality shocks. | |
