Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the slate motor. That's such a great price for the specs this motor has. I'm dying to try one myself. You chose wisely on the ESC for sure.

It has some big shoes to fill. I chose it over a Holmes Puller Pro because of the price and Harley's thoughts on it. The esc was a no brainer. I have a MonsterX in my Yeti and it's a beast. From what I've read the MambaX isn't far behind it and my Wraith is a lot lighter than my Yeti......so far lol

I looked very long and hard. I have a 17.5 Tekin (2pole) and I am very impressed with it for crawling. Where it sucks is when stuck in a hole with grip and a clear shot, NO torque sucks. That is why I did the PP. I run a Pro4hd in the Yeti and it is impressive. I will find out tomorrow , RPP is coming. I just didn't know about the slates torque, PLEASE let us know ! I have a Puller Pro XL in my Yeti I think it would rip the tires off the rims before it stalled. Torque will not be a problem for you there.

Oh I know about that XL, cannot imagine even fitting in the wraith . I almost went stubby, but it should fit @ 53mm Hang up and Drive |

WOW VIOLENCE Insane Torque ! I see the Puller Pro is real, I suspect it's the big 17mm armature. I'm glad I pushed that button ! Hang up and Drive |

MIPs , RR 32p on a bulletproof trans , all but 6mm outputs. HD gears in SSD housings, all new fast Eddie bearings, and NO 4s. The ruptures have incredible bite, my new servo is a letdown .... nowhere near 400 oz, closer to 300. All VP chubs and knuckles. I'm hoping it will stay together, time will tell ! Hang up and Drive |

I'm going to try to stick with plastic axle housings and the stock drive shafts see how the work out. I can see this escalating quickly just like the Yeti. The big difference between the two is that the Yeti was meant as a modded to the hilt project from the start. This Wraith was supposed to be a simple almost out of the box project. Oh well.

Stock driveshafts (WBHDs) are fine and so are the stock axle housings. It's the HD ring and pinion and HD trans internals you'll need. $50 for front and rear axle gears and $30-$40 for trans gears and you'll be all set. Universals are a good suggestion if you don't have them already.

The motor and esc came today. The MambaX is better looking than the MonsterX not that it matters.
