Default Wraith with SCX10 trans

Sorry for my ignorance but I figure you guys would know best. My friend bought a used Wraith and so far, it's been a disaster. He could've bought 2 brand new trucks with all the money he's invested in this beat up thing.

Anyways, he needed a transmission so he ordered a Hot Racing SCX trans. The issue becomes the output shaft length. I have no Wraith experience but judging from my searches, I think he can either do a Holmes Hobbies extended output shaft or change up the driveshaft configuration.

Is that correct? If so, is there a known driveshaft combo that works? He just bought a set of Junfac driveshafts that he doesn't want to replace but I have the feeling that he will have to. Thanks in advance.

I put a vanquish product scx trans in my wraith. I ended up getting an extended rear trans output from supershafty, but a HolmesHobbies one will work too.

Either an extended output or longer driveshaft would work. With the longer output, you have less chance of hitting the driveshaft on the skid. Depends how much suspesion droop there is...

I run an SCX10/AX10 transmission in my wraith. The 29mm extended outputs at both ends, and the "exlusive" length MIP shaft from supershafty work great for the rear. Stock wraith length MIP with 29mm ends at both ends for my front shaft. This gives me full spline engagement on both shafts.
