| Slipper clutch issue
My son was playing with his Wraith today on a dirt hill and started making a noise coming from the motor/tranny. Took it apart and found this: Was the nut just too tight or does it have something to do with the new gearing/motor I put in it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If anything I'd say the spring was too loose & it's been slipping too much & just chewed it too bits.

Agree, your slipper was too loose and since the slip plate has holes in it, that's why it chewed threw the pad so quickly. A good rule of thumb for a slipper I've found is tighten it all the way and back off a quarter of a turn.

Integy junk strikes again! Yep the holes in the slipper plate acted like a cheese grader and shaved the pad right down. I'd put the stock slipper/spur back on, or preferably grab the 32p slipper from the spawn/updated scx10. |

That surprised me since it was tightened almost completely. Makes since about the holes acting as a cheese grader. I put the stock spur plate back on but kept the spur gear and pinion. From what I've read or online there seems to be varying opinions on just how tight to make the slipper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The slipper in my Spawn kit works beautifully.
