Default Cheez Berger transmission on Wraith

Found these new KYX brand ( Very small pumpkin size front axle ) in taobao; https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm...cket=14#detail

The KYX Wraith front axles use the same AR44's steel bevel gear set, same ratio as Original Axial 38T/8T.

Currently I am using under gear on the rear, I am thinking to use this KYX front axle with CheezBerger trans. So my question is, Can I Over drive the front 38T/8T bevel gear a bit? At least and need to be a bit faster than the rear wheels spin. Would this possible?

Thank you guys for helping me here

Would you look at that... deadloc sells them anodized black for $255 a set. Same damned axles.

The gearing difference is huge, you'd be better off getting the matching rear axle and flipping it upside down to use the cheezberger.

LOL, I've almost forgot in US you got deadloc selling these KYX's products, Unfortunately Their selling is way too high. If you buy these axles in China only cost you USD$70.00 for the complete axles.

I thank you for your advice here which it I was agreed to your point. make sense everything.

Last but not least; I like you as you're Durability Tester

Deadloc came from nowhere and showed up with a large variety neat parts. It is not surprising that they are simply a rebranding company but I hadn't realized just how high their markup must be. I'll look around that site later and see what kind of crazy deals I find.

Is that $70 for both front & rear complete axles?

I have broken pikes of parts and spent a bigger pile of money buying parts. Now I get to reat things as a hobby to help others. I enjoy it!

Nice looking axles and a decent price if they hold up.

But this style of axle pumpkin needs to die. It's fugly.

If you don't buy those axles because they're not aesthetically pleasing I don't think anyone else cares. That shape slides over rocks and is simple to make from flat plate with a plasma and a press brake. That's where the design came from.

I've got something in the works that is so much better than chicom cast alumargerine housings with pressed tin axle shafts.

I'd actually looked into using these housings but just the center section simply because the ring gear is flip able so the high pinion is retained while the direction of the rotation is reversed. Buuuut then ssd came out with their new plastic version so no heavy chinesium pumpkin for my axles.

Tell us more.

I don't mind these housings that much and I know they have a purpose (more clearance and easier to slide over rocks) and they look this way for a reason (cheap to fabricate), but I still prefer pumpkins. Because scale nerd!

More information will come out soon enough.

They are all "scale" as can be. But because scale nerd nothing has to make any sense so there is that.
