I would go with Vanquish Cr-Mo axles:

AR60 Rear Axle Shafts - Vanquish Products

I've used custom titanium ones once and my Wraith fell off a rock and the axle bent, never happened that before with any axle

Ti isn't great material for axles in the diameter that will fit currently available housings. I've bent and subsequently broken Ti in that application. I'd have to say the VP axles would be the best currently.

Default strongest rear axle shafts

If you want a strong painless and pinless combo, get a SSD wide diamond, and the HD axles that come with TI hexes are quite strong, slide in a set of Creeper Bobs and that is an incredible combo.

It's amazing what can be accomplished if you have the want to .
Good work for a drill and files .
It's awesome when it's "your own" work.

Very nice. It's also sweet when the cost is scrap material laying around.

Thanks guys i just couldent stand the thought of not having the spawn running i dought this one will last im sure its gone need some reworking and or a full redo the real test is gona be falling off the rocks im sure it will be bent by tonight lol

Quick note it took about 4 hours to make one side that includes r&d time and test fitting and what not so if i was paying me to make these i could buy 2 sets of creeperbobs ti axles + or a complete dlux axle lol for less lol

Yea, folks don't realize labor.
It takes me approximately 2 hours per set to cut my Ti axles with 3 different setups on the machine to complete them.
I usually try to cut in sets of 10, or 20 hours labor on my manual machine and I've been cutting them for 7 years now .

So i spun the hub so i had to cross drill the shaft and used a axial drive shaft pin its not running true anymore ether so now it matches the rest of my wheels lol we will see how long this soft steel lasts with half of the shaft drilled out

Labor is a kicker and tools are exspensive

Well i iust snapped my home made shaft at the axle pin it took a 10.ft.drop right on that wheel and bent the snot out of it i bent it back but it dident last long after that i ordered a die to cut some threads and im gona try it again im thinking of ordering bigger bearings and steping up to 6mm shafts to give them more meat for the cross pin and maybe try to harden the shaft i defenitly want the hex back so i can swap my wheels around hopefully come january or febuary i can order some of those sweet titanium shafts as these are so heavy and i need to shave some weight off the rear end

Stainless usually isn't stronger than good steel, mcmaster has a few good options. Titanium is about half the weight of steel, but given the same dimensions high-end steel will be a few % stronger. Titanium is also a b**** to machine, as it work-hardens as you're cutting it - far more than any high-end SS will. It also can be bent back into place w/o the harm that would do to steel.

Also if you notch the spot where the grub screw will hold, like a motor shaft, there's a far lower chance it will spin.
