Default Gonna cut, mod and install a Proline

As I stated in another post on my Wraith, the discontinued Proline Wraith body came out really nice and I don't want to wreck it, so I need another body to crawl with. I've been wondering about using the proline 2 door hardtop body.

I got one today and started cutting the dumbo ear flares into a flat flare design and cutting the front grill area to fit the wraith. Next went the ugly lexan huge bumpers. So far its looking like its gonna work fine. Now I gotta cut the roof off very carefully and dove the rear section.

The front and sides are the same width, just wider in the rear. Gotta figure how i'm gonna do the doors into maybe half doors after the roof and windshield are gone! Heres what I have so far.

I was working on a cheap Chinese body like that. If you split the rear so that the square/X is removed it meets up nicely like the original Wraith panels do. I butchered mine beyond recognition, though.

Finally got the roof and windshield cut off and everything squared up for paint. I shot it this morning at work using Neon Yellow, then a coat of Frost Green backed with silver.

I believe this body will work great for a runner body to keep my other body for display, unscratched.
