Hi guys!!

THe screws of the gearbox of my Wraith doesn't lock properly... I guess it's kind of plastic material, and after change the motor many times the thread is not in good condition... I would like to change the plastic gearbox case for an alu case or something like that...

Can you gimme some advice about what case should I buy please?? Thank you so much!!!

You can try some m3 brass inserts.

Aluminium SCX10/AX10 styles trans cases would be a good choice for long run, however you also would need longer locked diff spool like this one from hot racing https://www.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXGSCJ&P=7 or buy hot racing Wraith style aluminium case for direct swap

VP makes a sweet aluminum case. Super Shafty uses them for the bulletproof trans.

Just buy what you can afford. I'd love all VP parts but it's not in the cards. I have a mix of everything. On softer aluminum, I find that it's better to use locktite on everything and just snug them.

Plus one on the Hot Racing. I have three of these Trans in my rigs and they've all been bullet proof running on Brushless, 3S.

I use the VP case, with the HR gears. HR has upped their game in the last few years.

For sure Mike! At this point, I even use the HR case. It's a pretty darn nice piece! I also just ordered some HR links for another build I'm going to be starting. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality. The only thing I could do without is that they go a little crazy slapping their logo everywhere on the product!

I’ve got a lot of HR parts on my slashes, the quality was very erratic at best. About 2 yrs ago, something changed for the better.
