You will need to grind the corner off the mount. No need for that motor in a wraith, as it’s not sensored Hang up and Drive |

Yeah I'm not sure it needs a motor this big either, you'll find a 540 or 550 brushless (sensored) motor should provide more than enough wheelspeed and power to overwhelm a Wraith. If you like Castle I'd look into their new Slate motors made just for crawlers What is your goal with this motor anyway? |

hello, thanks for replies. castle offers the 2650 mamba monster x in a sensored package 010 0145 04. that is what i have in my yeti. plenty of grunt and power ,runs cool on a 3 cell lipo, plenty of run time. been looking into putting in a yeti trans or a bomber trans. i just like this motor and monster esc. i have it in my slash 4x4 plenty of giddy up. just like this motor, just trying to figure how to use stock wraith stuff first. thanks kz903

The gear ratio on the Yeti/Bomber tranny is a little taller. Shouldn’t be much of a problem though with the Wraith tranny. I used some longer m3 bolts and a couple of m3 nuts and raised the motor side of my Wraith tranny a little bit to clear a motor before. I don’t run it any more because it really wasn’t worth it when I can do the same on a 550 Traxxas.

Ah it is a sensored motor after all, thats good though it still might not have the low speed control as good as the crawler specific motors which will also rip at full throttle BTW. have a look at their rock crawler combos with the mamba X Holmes Hobbies also makes some awesome brushless crawler motors too I had a Tekin 3100kv roc 412 in my wraith for a while but it was a bit much so I put a 2100 kv Holmes puller pro in. I felt that the Holmes motor or atleast the KV rating was a bit more suited for this rig, though I do have a 2 speed as well. |

Looking for Power or speed ? The 2650 sensored will be a beast, unless you can get it low enough to keep it on the ground., I’m running a PP3500 and it fits perfect, will give much more speed than my truck wants Hang up and Drive |
