Big bores. Cheap, durable, easy to setup. Lots of spring choices.

This!

For a heavier rig I prefer the ProLine shocks over the Traxxas for sure, but both will offer great, leak-free performance.

Proline are more expensive... both must be from rear part right?? I saw a some 4 packs in eBay but the fronts are shorter...

Default Bashing shocks!!!

Both brands offer different lengths. Fronts will be shorter, but measure for what you want. I run the longest prolines on OPIE , 5” for yeti rears on all 4 corners. I do use lowering brackets for ride height. I run a long soft suspension without sway bars for crawling

Loved my Pro-line PowerStroke Slash shocks they are the best shocks for bashing around, very smooth and leak free. Plus many option springs to tune to your liking

The Traxxas Big Bores are good shocks for sure, smooth, leak free, plenty of tuning options. The Proline Powerstrokes are nicer looking and have threaded preload adjusters, these would be my first choice if money was not a concern, but at the end of the day I'd say they are on par with the big bores as far as performance goes. Another option that used to be more popular with the Wraith is the Gmade XD piggybacks, though I don't have firsthand experience with them, they are also a big bore type shock, have external adjustability, and they certainly look the part.

Check out the Traxxas 4962 Big Bore Shocks. 8 to a package and about $60 on ebay. About 4" pin to pin. Tons of different spring rates available if you use the Axial Wraith/Bomber shock springs. Losi golds are good as well. Down side as noted, pre-load requires the use of spacers but a ton of different sizes are supplied in the package. I don't use the pre-load spacers, make my adjustments by changing shock oil and different rate springs.

One other down side to these is there is no rod end ball on the top of the shock. My solution has been to make spacers so the top of the shock is in line with the shock lower rod end. Have run these this way for 3 years with no issues, Wraith and AX10 2nd gen. Another way is to cut the top eye off the cap, take out the seal, drill a 1/8" hole in the cap, and screw a rod end on to the cap with a 3mm screw from inside. Replace the seal and you're done.

Default Bashing shocks!!!

Screw thru end cap, Revo rod end installed, gives extra length, I used a bent end on this one for clearance.

Does anybody know the dimensions of these shocks? I looked on the Traxxas website and they don't have any info.

I realy like the cheap chinese shocks i put greese in them because the piston dont have alot of resistance and i dont have any leaking issues they wouldent be hard to tune and they use the axial springs to
