Default Spur gear recommendation.

How big of a spur gear do you guys recommend on a Wraith? I'll be strictly crawling. With a 13t Crawlmaster motor on 3s?

I'd say 43/13.

I fit a 64 tooth Axial Yeti spur. I had to trim the cover a little bit for it to clear the driveshaft.

Too high for crawling.

The stock Spawn kit spur (32P) is 56t, I have a 9T pinion and frankly I'd go even lower for strict crawling with the 35T cheapo motor I use.

Not sure how that compares to the Crawlmaster but maybe fitting that bigger spur Brake Weight mentions would get you closer to the sweet spot.

Brake Weight already helped me with this SAME situation!
His recommendation is a really good one, as long as you're running a low-mid kv Brushless and/or a 3S Lipo....
That's the thing, different setups, different tuning.

I'm running OLD School NiMh Batteries!! and a HH TorqueMaster Pro Handwound 35 Turn Motor. I found (with help) that 60/10 put my right where I needed to be! Good, Slow Speed control, lots of Torque. Fast enough for this old Fart to walk with it!!
If I want more Speed, I'd STILL go with NiMh! 8 or 9 Cell....

..... Those are two examples of near each end of the Power Spectrum. Not to be confusing, but Tire Size comes into play also.
If you're rolling on 5-1/2" Tires or larger, maybe 64 Tooth Spur would be better for Crawling.
Have fun!!
