Looks like boxes of JUNK !!
Well that was my inspiration....boxes of leftovers, minimal investment!
Follow along as a few new parts arrive and screws get dropped!

Default Skrappy

A few important parts came in so SKRAPPY has been started.

A stock Wraith cage was obtained from JRC and a KNK screw kit was pressed into service. Quick mock up with tape, and since it all fit, it got screwed!

Sourced some RC4WD internal spring shocks from my Bully build, springs are too stiff for now, but I will adjust when all components are in.
Some leftover upper links from OPIE, and some stock lower links for now will work. Had a set of beadlocks with Ruptures mounted, on they went, We have a roller, as OPIEs original AR60 axles went under.

I do think OPIE is jealous of SKRAPPY’s shiny new cage....

Next up are some 3D printed goodies, front battery tray, front and rear inner fenders, I also did a bed and fuel cell, not sure if they will get used.

Just realized the skid is on backwards !!
Long day!

More to come!

I've got a spare Wraith cage laying around myself, as well as a huge box of "crap". Following and looking for inspiration!

First in front inner fenders, fit well

Now out back , a bed and inner fenders, also a delrin spacer made by Creeper Bob ! Thanks brother!!

Nice project, I've got a few similar boxes of junk that I need to convert to rigs as well.

Well, well , well!!!!
A little bling goes a long way. I couldn’t resist the twisted tie rod!

I will also say, normal GPM parts, fit and finish even and consistent . No nicks or blemishes anywhere, bearings fit snug as they should!
One interesting note, I ordered both Chubs and Knuckles, both came with the brass bushings, so I have a spare set !

Default Skrappy

Thanks. But paused

Waiting on the cheap servo. I don’t want to start wiring until everything is there. I do have a sensored Tekin, or a 35t brushed and a Castle MMP and SW3, so I need that HK package

Quick fun, put everything in, including my very first 2s lipo(3s or better!) it turns, climbs, and goes backwards and forwards. Now some tuning!
I had forgotten about the dog bones and steering..... or lack of !
Spoiled by OPIE !

OK pictures at 11:00........
After the maiden trip around the carport , put Skrappy up on the blocks. Tightened one chub screw, everything else was tight. Routed the wires and removed the printed battery mount, it was great, but couldn’t tighten the Velcro . Simple fix, stock part, 1strap DONE !

Tekin sensored with a MMP on 2s.
Pretty much stock trans and lower end, gears,

Panels look great !

What’s that? I hid the wiring and even a full cockpit !

Well , another quick panel and paint, that gap is gone !

Well had a fun outing with my 2s didn’t break or roll, did find my front axle has a stripped screw hole! Oh well , new one coming for 12.00

This truck is much lighter than OPIE , and I was quite surprised on how well it works. Shocks are a bit stiff, and short, but really work well, and don’t leak.
I did run both trucks together, and SKRAPPY did almost as good as OPIE, the lack of knuckle weights, metal axle, and ud/od gears explains that !
