| Chassis hits servo-horn while compressing
Hey guys!! I have just bought myself a Axial Wraith Spawn (Yaay) But i noticed that, when i compress the front suspension, the chassis hits the servo. I have contacted axial about this case, and they said "If you are pushing down on the shock springs till they are full compressed tight, it is possible that is why the body is hitting the servo. In normal running, the shocks will never fully compress to that point." I just dont believe that is the case... I really need your opinion about this, since im new to the hobby (watched video's with crawlers for atleast 5 yearst tho) Is this acceptable for a new car, or should i RMA it? The cars has never been run, and is brand new. Link for video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jk8gy5nktPs Cheers guys! |

Either space the lower mounts to clock the axle some or you can space the bumper out. For the bumper little pieces of he parts tree and longer screws will suffice.

That's every Wraith out there. What they told you is correct. Unless you launch it off of a cliff, it will never fully compress on it's own. You're ok. I promise. |

Alright, thank you guys alot. And yeah about the total compression, i get your point. The only thing that i am worried about, is that if you look at the end of my video even when it compresses just a bit, it hits the horn. But i wont take your words for granted, tho. Im waiting for my battery to arrive, and them im going to hit it. I think i am going to space out the bumper abit, to make sure of everything. Just seems weird to me, why they would manufacture it in a way where it in normal stance, would hit the servo-horn. It feels like if the servo just were mounted a few millimeteres back, everything would have been good. But i will inspect it closely, when im going to drive it. I guess it wont spoil the fun, no matter what Thanks alot guys, i appreciate |

Spin the mount 180°, that will push the servo back a few millimeters and should be all that's needed.

I moved the servo back myself i also lowered it a bit so it was hitting on its own the last rebuild with the new cage and new bumper its hitting again and i dont have much room to move anything oh well no big deal

On my wraith I just notched the cross brace until the horn cleared. Using a file and time I filed until there was a few mm of clearance. The brace is still plenty strong even with a notch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I reverse mounted the servo on a vp servo bracket to get it further back, and it works great like that. All this ‘never get it to full compression’ is just bs if you run your truck beyond half hearted. Just another bit of half assed design from axial imo. |

I replaced the plastic servo mounts with I think STRC aluminum ones. They was slightly thinner than the stockers and moved the servo back just enough to clear
