Default Check out my wroncho....

Well I finally built a wroncho, I've done the easy parts, now for the hard parts...

I have
Well used stock wraith skid plate
Xtraspeed scx10 chassis rails
Xtraspeed diamond ar60 axles with scx10 ii diffs
Some random rubbish shocks I had lying around,
Wraith trans with steel gears and 32p spur
I'm not set on the motor but currently have a tenshock 6pole 1750kv sensorless brushless motor
Mamba x esc
King max CL3015s servo
Scx10 driveshafts which will need to be changed
Chinese links
Wraith wheels with Chinese wheel hubs and Chinese tyres.

What I am keen to hear your ideas on are

- drive shafts?
- battery holder and location?
- body?
- shocks?
- motor?

Let me know what you would do next, cash isn't a massive issue, but I am a function over form guy so flashy for scale only parts don't really interest me...

Thanks for looking

You're gonna hate sensorless motor if you intend to crawl with it. Id swap over to the 20 dollar holmes 550 21t, then you can utilize the back half of that battery tray you have your esc on to hold a small 3s I suppose, although I'd change the location of the entire tray from the rear to the front if it were me and try and keep my weight bias forward.

Thanks for the input,

I'll try to remount it to the front, but the wraith trans had a mounting hole I have screwed the electronics plate onto, I have several small 3s batteries I can try

New drive shafts came today... I think they came from Laos?

Anyway keen to put them into the truck. Still need to decide on a shell, maybe a commanche?

If you order a holmes motor, you can have it regular rotation, reverse rotation, or neutral so it can be run either direction, that way you can spin the entire skid around and continue to utilize that hole in your transmission to mount the electronics tray to, but have it all up front.

Thanks for the ideas,

I have been toying with the idea...

I might flip it around tonight with the sensorless and see how it goes for balance

I also added the vanquish wraith stage one kit to the xtraspeed axles, was a good fit, and looks awesome. I like the lower ratios of the scx10 ii gears.

I also added a 550 3750kv sensored motor

I like the yota cab and honcho bed, but that black body is different and sets it apart, that would be my choice if I were making it. Really like that.

Thanks, I like the black body too, I think I’ll keep shortening the links till it all fits and looks proper.

Can you explain this more? AR44 gears in a AR60 axle? or is it some sort of hybrid you made?

thanks

They have been great so far. I have not pushed them very hard though. I have some ud gears in another truck, I might have to do a comparison

do the lockers accept AR60 shafts do you know? Outside the ones that come with the housings? Like universals or VVDs?

I have not tried others yet, but I am happy to try them out. I might start a new thread just for these

Yota body with the truggy cage gets my vote.

This is quite similar to what I’ve been ordering parts for a while for. I’m going for King Kong CA10 cab, 4WS and dig with a truggy rear. Don’t know if these should still be called Wraiths... Even my transmission isn’t from a Wraith...

And definitely go with the Yota!

I have my battery where yours is. I'm using a Proline F-250 cab with the cage rear. I made front fender liners for it too. everything seems to work well.
