Vanquish Diff Cover Problem

Hi.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I’ve got a Wraith Spawn. Built it myself and now adding some upgrades because I’ve worn out some of the plastic stuff. I’ve bought 2 vanquish diff covers (smooth angled version) but the front one has to be installed upside down because the locker ring gear is on the inside of the diff (center of truck) if that makes sense?

I’ve checked the manual and I’ve built it correctly and I’ve checked the photos in ‘no talking section’ and found that everybody has the ring gear on the inside of the front diff. Also checked vanquish product and you can’t buy front and back versions ... so what am I meant to do... install the front one upside down??

Going a little loco so would really appreciate your help

You can easily flip the ring gear & spool/locker in the axles (have to do both) to use the VP cover.

Your only problem then will be you'll need to reverse your motor direction also.
If re-buildable brushed pull the end bell screws & rotate the end 180deg.
If sensored brushless need to access esc software & change motor direction.

Thanks brother ... It’s brushless. Weird they made it this way for the Axial when it’s not correct according to the Wraith manual.

I have a feeling when Wraiths very first came out RTR they had the ring gear factory installed reversed to how the instructions showed & it was from one of these the VP cover was developed.

I went through this very same thing with mine when I first built it till I worked out how to reverse the motor direction

Thanks champ. Thought I’d post a pic of mine too. I’ve gone with black on black so it’s ended up not very noticeable. I think I’ll run it as is for a while ... Vanquish stuff is nice - I like the way it’s finished in Matt.
