Default Repaired my transmission mounting holes...

Performed some surgery last night, was pretty simple in the end. But a solid upgrade.

I got them from a Local via EBay here in Australia,

what I got were M3 x 5mm Brass Threaded Inserts

they worked a treat!

I use those too i also use the rimed inserts i hav3 the m2.5 and the m3 they work great for all kinds of stuff

I just tried Heli-Coils on some stripped threads. They worked but no where near as nice as your method. Great post!

Seen a vid (but not tried personally) of them installed by press starting them in the hole & then touching the brass with a soldering iron till the plastic goes soft & the insert is pushed in with the iron.
