Exclamation Just purchased a Wraith !

Been out of the hobby for a while and picked up a used wraith.

I ordered a 2s and 3s lipos 6200mah. I also got the vanquish stage 1 kit and the 1/4 links kit.

With the specs listed and everything they said I would need a bec to keep the light controller from burning up, my question is do I need to only hook up the bec as directions state.

I would plug the light controller into the receiver personally and use the BEC for that servo.

Congrats on the wraith sounds like a nice setup. I agree. I would use the bec for the servo. Both my scx10's run a bec for the servo and the light kit off the esc never had any issues. They have been that way for about 7 yrs.

Not sure about the light kit, but I would try running the servo without the BEC. the castle ESC might already put out enough power for the servo.

Im going to order that holmes hobby rx bypass adapter, when I go to install this I would just plug the red wire back in and hook the bec and server to the adapter?

P.S 3s lipo is a monster compared to 2s holy cow.

welcome back, and Congrats, long live the Wraith, still my preffered shafty favorite
Missing mine big time now.
Unknown what the specs are of this light controller
and unknown specs of your ESC
See what the amperage and voltage is from your ESC then see what the requibments are for the light controller.

You may not need the BEC.
Depending on what steering servo you have you might gain more torque/power if you up the voltage by using a BEC
so you might be able to run your light controller on bec alone or connect steering and light c on the bec.

May I offer some advise, if you want performance, drop that spare tire and add little weight at a time to front axle/knuckles.
reduce as much weight as possible especially above the floor of the cage/chassis.
some ideas for ya my build
