Default AX 31316 shear knuckles, faulty?

I think part AX31316 AR60 shear knuckles are common to a lot of versions.
Thought the Wraith section might get more views.
As anyone noticed a possible fault around the area where the steering rod ball slides inbetween the 2 arms/prongs?
The bottom arm/prong is flat whrere the ball rests BUT the top is not on the same plan so only part of the ball make contacts. Its hard to explain, have a look and you will see. It looks like the part is made to follow the line of the armprong BUT one edge needs to be thicker.
I can not see any reason its made like this only given partial contact,no other ball socket in the kit sits like this.
If any one is interested I will try to take a picture.

Default Re: AX 31316 shear knuckles, faulty?

It's another odd Axial quirk, like the AR60's that don't have the upper link mounts centered, or the yeti that doesn't have the front hinge pin bores on the same plane, or that the updated 3 gear transmission still uses tiny 5x10 bearings.

By the time you run longer bolts with nylock nuts it holds together alright. I break the chubs before the knuckles let go.
