Default Been Waiting a Long Time

I have always admired the Wraith.

When it cam out I wanted one, but was invested in Scx10 life, lol.

I have been running my Ryft with a HIGHLY modded Wraith, and realized I needed one.
It just so happened I dropped in on my Lhs, and they were having a sale in store on every thing, and just so happened to have a Wraith Spawn. Well this followed me home...

A little pink vinyl and the stripe looks pretty good...

I cannot have the battery in the back, So I made an aluminum bracket to put the battery up front. Also I swapped out the rx for a specky I had laying around...

The plan is to run her stock until something breaks, or I cant stand it anymore. I suspect the first things to go will be the internal trans gears, and the plastic steering link. followed closely by the stock steering servo.

One tuff unit. AXIAL hit the mark making the Wraith and modeling it after the Poison Spyder 1:1.

The only thing broken on mine after all these years has been the front bumper.

Bet you got a good deal on it too.

Looks great. I'll admit i have grabbed 2 of these for me and one for my daughter on the past year or so. Other than aluminum bodies on mine they are bone stock. My daughters is stock running gear but has custom paint and some lighting options.

She really approves of the pink stripe.

I like the aluminum plate for the battery any more pictures of that? I have a couple pieces of flat aluminum stock wouldn't mind trying to do that on one of mine.

How are you dealing with the body for battery changes. I screwed in a little piece of plastic on the sides of my daughter's and put some velcro to hold the body on. It so far has held up really well.

Cool, the Wraith is a fun platform. Look forward to seeing what you do with it. I have been thinking about putting a sensored setup in mine lately. Need to reinvigorate it.

Thanks Smog, Reinvigorating old platforms is fun. I plan on keeping this pretty mild for now myself.

I got her on the rocks today...

Consenus is, She is geared way too high, and the plastic servo horn gave up the ghost, 20 min in.

So I bought parts, see if you spot my error?

Yeah both me and the guy @ the hobby shop missed that, I didn't realize it until I took the picture and started to open the package. It was the short shaft that caught my eye. WAY to short!, lol

Nice collection JK. I take it you like jeeps? lol

I made it back from the hobby shop with the correct parts this time, and credit towards my card.

So I got them installed, much better steering from that mod alone, now the tires hit the links...

Also working on the hood hinges...

Sweet and thanks you got me looking at my wraith thinking man I could use some of the universal axles in my wraith and wouldn't ya know it I already have them in both front and rear axles. Forgotten I had done that. Well ordering up 3 more though for the others.

Also any more pictures of those hood hinges and how your putting them on I'm really looking into that option. Right now I'm still taking screws out of my hood when I change the battery. Looking at getting another body so looking for a good hinging option.

Keep it up looks like its really coming together nicely.

I picked up some airplane nylon hinges, trimmed them and bolted them on with brass screws and nuts.
