They were the stock factory bearings. I have no doubt that the high quality Boca's I ordered will hold up just fine.

First post has been updated with the setup sheet from Axial. Changes:

Lunsford Ti Links (4mm) all the way around. Here's what I used:

Front uppers: LNS8655 105mm w/ Revo ends.
Front Lowers: LNS8660 110mm w/ 1 Revo and 1 Jato end per link.
Rear uppers: LNS8660 110mm w/ 1 Revo and 1 Jato end per link.
Rear Lowers (Bent): LNS8670 120mm w Revo ends.

I also replaced the stock steering system with a single 140mm Lunsford link with Jato ends. (LNS8690) I had to shave off a bit of the gearbox so it'd clear when steering.

I replaced all the stock bearings in the gearboxes with BOCA Ceramic yellow sealed bearings, and re-greased everything with Axial grease. Here are the flanged bearings I used: http://www.bocabearings.com/bearing-...C2YSNB2-5x8x25

The steering on the truck is simply amazing. Entirely new ballgame!

Holy Steering! What do you think helped the most with the steering? The full length steering link, or the knuckles? Or the combo?

They seems to be ok, although you can tell that when they pass a certain angle and rub into the shocks hard they arent turning as smooth as they were. Frankly, even if I dialed out the steering a bit, I dont see much reason to change them to anything! I havent seen anyone break them! I drove around a bit and it worked great!

The Vanquish knuckles were the big helper. The single link was nice, but mainly just increased durability and reduced slop.

Thanks!

Now that body looks killer!
Be sure to glue some strong magnets to your C-hubs so they´ll catch the parts from the universals when they start spewing pieces all over the place. Makes the clean up easier.
Now serious. Have you put some runtime on this steering setup yet? How do they hold up?

I like the steering rod idea. I may do that to mine, looks like it would be much sturdier than the stock setup. That steering angle is insane, i wasnt gonna get any knucks till they broke but this may be a good reason to do it sooner.

Does the steering link hang below the axle tubes at all?

I've put one comp (3 courses) and another 20 minutes of playing time after that on it with no issues. I'll keep a spare CVD ready just in case. ;)

I like the solid tie rod! I notice a lot of guys going to the Ti stuff for the lower links but I also notice the rod ends are larger then the rod... don't you guys get hung up on the rod ends or are you guys filing them down?

I suppose you could file down the little bit that sticks down from the chassis, but I hadnt noticed it yet...
