Here's my new toy, a 30th birthday gift from my awesome wife.

I'm particularly happy with how the paint turned out. The pictures make it look white, but it's actually silver.
There's nothing quite like peeling the overspray mask off for the first time.

The outdoor shots were down at Long Beach WA. The rocks there were perfect for its first outing. This is also my first rig running Boss Claws, I'm pretty happy with them so far.

I spent quite a while arranging and re-arranging the components on the electronics tray to fit them in the smallest footprint. I was finally able to get them all to fit on the lower tray.

Overall I'm very happy with my XR10.

This is the first time I've uploaded pics, so I'm not quite sure what I'm doing, but it seems like it worked ok.

I won this neat XR10 kit as a raffle prize at MSD scale nats last week in Montana, thanks Axial. I typically just build scale trail rigs and I most likely won't ever be in a comp with this type of truck, so I went bone stock on this so I could get it up and running for as little $$ as possible using stuff I already had and just buying the M2 esc, some tires that were on sale and a box damaged Spektrum radio.

Totally Stock XR-10
Axial 55t Can motors
Novak M2 ESC
Hitec 5645MG Servo
Losi Comp claws (on sale buy one pair get one free at RPPhobby)
Venom 1600 mah NIMH 2/3a sized pack
Spektrum DX3E
Tamiya PS paints silver underocated with white then black then tinted windows and then used PS55 flat clear on outside over decals except windows for matte alloy look

Wow it worked really great and allowed me to actually play on some knarly parts of the very rocky landscape where I live instead of just driving around the bigger rocks to find more scale sized terrain for my typical rigs.

I built it in like 2 nights and its stock so no build thread was needed.
