Default Rottenbellys BWD Wedge XR build.

Video added on page 3.

Well theres nothing like getting home after 28 days at work to boxes of goodies!!!
Want to say thanks to Don for the awesome parts!!
I got this rig in trade and ran it once in stock form and blew the rear gears out fairly easily. SO that is my main focus of upgrades for the time being.
I am still waiting on some VP bushings, Avid bearings, Hr gears and Hitech 7950 servo.
Gonna work on getting the chassis together and mocking up how i am going to fit 2 Holmes Hobbies BR-XL's in there!!
Radio is gonna be a 4pk.
Shocks are stock with losi gold springs and aluminum caps with ball end in them.
Using some V11 35t intergys for now.
Wheels will be stockers for now also. Will be hitting you up soon for some Vertexs Don!!!

Mocked up with bomb proof shock risers.

Underside of long electronics/ battery tray.
Going to use stock ball ends on skid and do the 4mm rod ends on axle and upper links.

Looks like its going to fit nicely!!!!

About all i am going to get done till some more parts come in.

So are you going to make the full switch to Hitec servos? I assume that 5985 for your berg has held up fine since Disney. In the past you have been all JR. I know the HV 8711 took a crap on you but from what I hear most of them do. You don't hear that about the 8711s.

I was so used to the 486 oz of the HV 8711 that the normal 8711 feels weak to me now. Just thought i would give the 7950 a try. Was only 119 at servo city (5 bucks more than the 333oz of the 7955!). The 8711 is going on the berg and the hitech 7955 ig going on the mini.
I shoulda just got a 7980!!!

From what i could tell the BWD chassis setup is about a ounce heavier. But i upgraded to 4 mm link hardware and way beefier links. Seems like a good trade off for durability!!
It will be easier to lose the weight elsewhere.
I am going to try to keep the axle parts stock for awhile to keep weight down. If i start breaking knuckles or c's i will upgrade to aluminum.

Sounds good, I'm looking for some TVP's that are litter then the stock aluminum ones. Going to use my bent links I already have.

You will love running the BR-XL's in it. All I can say for mine are smooth.

I loved my BRXL's when I was still runnin the stock chassis. The BJ wouldn't allow it as easily, but if space wasn't an issue I'd probably be running them still.

Cool will keep a eye out for your build.
I am really liking this setup!!

I did get my VP Bronze bushings in today.
I am going to run these in the rear axles. Went ahead and put them in with the HR gears. They were a nice tight fit and they cleaned up alot of the slop that the bearing had.

This is how i am breaking them in.
Was a little tight but you could hear the motor and gears start to quiet down after about 5 minutes.

Went ahead and mocked it up till the rest of my parts show up.
As of now it has 3 1/4 inches of clearance a the front of skid and at the highest arch of the rear links it is a hair under 4 inches.

Axles with BWD braces and servo mounts.

Still waiting on some gears and electronics. But i got it mocked up and painted/ stuck the body on.
The Freq-e-tag graphics went on great and look super sharp. Gonna hate to scratch them up!
