If you have good motors there is not much need to run different pinions.

I had a 13t installed up front to try and combat the clodstall I get occasionally but then I learned I could time the motors to 0* and it would help a little. I guess it did help a little Sometimes it's nice to have clodstall, most of the time it happens when I'm going up something steep so if the rear cuts out, it's much less likely to flip backwards. Sometimes the rear motor will stall out on a somewhat steep climb and it won't climb but then I just goose it a little more and it goes. Very tempted to go with dual FXR's and wantAsummits DX3E mod though. I wish I had known about that mod before I ordered the Punk Dig!

i prefer a smaller pinion in the rear to keep the rig planted, not as much for clodstall

Thanks for the compliments fellas!

I'm really looking at upgrading this 7954 Hitec servo. It's pretty noisy and it's getting on my nerves Considering picking up a Futaba 9157. Just over 400oz of torque at 6v which is almost 100 more oz than the 7954 at 6v.

Anyone know an upgrade for these upper link rod ends? Seems I'm getting some side to side motion on my axles and upon further investigation, the upper link ends are very sloppy. I could have installed them wrong, if that's at all possible

What's weird is I noticed it after installing the stiff 30* aluminum upper links. Any ideas? It looks like I can get some lower link rod ends and upgrade the rear uppers which would rotate the axle back some (lower rod ends are longer than upper rod ends) and gain clearance at the motor but I'm not entirely sure what to do about the front rod ends.

Nice! You'll love the DD foams if you haven't tried them before.

I hope so! I had memory foams in before and they liked to fold a lot.

Right now I have 6oz of weight in each front wheel but I feel like I'll need more. When I had the stock XR10 wheels installed, I had the stock Axial VWS weights in with 2 slugs per wheel and even that didn't seem like enough.

Little bit late on this but I got em from my local HobbyTown (Concord). Still running awesome! Just put some new wheels and a new body on this truck. As well as some VP knuckles and shimmed diffs. Haven't changed much otherwise

The body is a Losi Grappler Pro. I've always liked the look and finally broke down and bought one. My Losi SCTE has the same paint job so I figured why not I'm not sure why the thrown rod picture is in here but in any case, those parts came out of my old 3.4 V6 Tacoma motor. All I can say is, Pismo Beach is EVIL Trucks been running good for the past year on the replacement motor though.
