| The generals XR10
Just another basic XR10, specs as follows FXR (X1) DX3E Punk Dig Hitec 7954SH Racers Edge servo horn Fantom Blitz 45t (X2) CC BEC 1350mah Thunder Power Pro Lite V2's (X2) HB Rovers white compound with memory foams F&R, Axial weights in front wheels VP Bushing kit Plan to get: Axial 6x101mm 30* upper links Axial machined lowers Chaotic Crawlers solid tie rod Aluminum C's and knuckles (undecided on brand just yet) Custom flat electronics tray I decided to try my hand at polishing the anodized parts which ended up going pretty well. Soaked the beadlock rings and servo horn in Greased Lightning and polished by hand with Mothers Mag & Aluminum polish. I plan to de-anodize and polish all aluminum parts I buy from here on out I'm up in the air on what to do about knuckles because I want to keep the stock wheels and upgrade to aluminum but want to increase the steering throw at the same time. Not quite ready to bite the bullet on VP wheels since I know I'll be spending ~$150-$200 on them Speaking of wheels, the stock beadlock screws suck ass! I ordered a pack of 100 M3x25mm flat socket head stainless screws from McMaster so I can't wait to replace the crap Axial gives you. The body will be painted white with black accents here and there. I can't wait to try this out! This RC is my first MOA, coming from a 2.2 SCX10 Honcho After I got it put together Polished rings |

I agree with you about the flag, its referred to as the Rebel Flag, but to many that don't live down south, it's a symbol of slavery, masters, and plantations. Its a mixed bag since its a symbol of Bad Assness down south, and most mean nothing but good by using it. Last edited by Rig Rocker; 12-13-2010 at 12:40 PM.

| Nice haha. Yeah I don't ride much street at all anymore, mainly Skateparks. Either bmxers piss off the cops or they piss off skaters, it's a lose lose situation but I still ride and have fun doing so |

| I never rode a DK, but I always liked the look of the general lee. I'm a S&M rider myself. You should still paint your lid orange and letter it with general lee at least. I see your point about leaving out the rebel flag tho.

I think I'm going to trade my Honcho for a set of 1" wide VP SLW4's (all black) with new Sedonas + cash. I'll put stick on lead weights in the front wheels, I don't even care That'll break my VP cherry Thanks for the comments guys |

Flipped my servo around to get the servo horn closer to the wheel. Also began setting up the electronics on my custom tray I wanted to have the ESC accessible for setup and tuning purposes so it's mounted rear-most on the tray facing backwards. I also wanted to solder Deans plugs directly to the Punk Dig so those had to be accessible as well. I think I have everything setup how I want it and my 1350maH batteries fit like a glove with no interference with the upper links. Like a glove! Went shopping at Hobbytown today, picked up another Fantom Blitz 45t, Axial machined lower links, 30* bent uppers, paint, deans plugs and a Gunnar body kit. Hopefully I can get most of this stuff done tomorrow! I can't wait to drive it VP wheel deal fell through but may have a line on trading my Honcho for VP knuckles, chubs, lockouts and tranny cases + cash If that works out, I'll have to get VP wheels to work with all that! LOL Never ending cycle... |

Got her running last night! That was a lot of soldering Plugged the battery in and everything worked flawlessly first try, I was blown away. Some daylight pictures. I'm still contemplating color scheme, what I want to paint black and what I want to paint white so the brainstorming continues. All the links were de-anodized and polished for the bling bling look yo! What's the best thing to use for motor protection? I want to keep these motors pristine |

I'd cover the motors with a 5 hour energy bottle, or the Monster energy shots(the monsters are black). |

I hear both slide on the motor like a glove, but you may want to cut or drill a hole in them so that the motor can breathe.
