Default BWD Light Weight Electronics/Battery Tray!

I finally have inventory on these and added them to the store. This is the tray that now comes with all XR-Wedge kits. It replaces all stock plastic parts for electronics/battery mounting, and weighs in at only 15 grams (approx 1/2 ounce). This tray offers much more room for mounting your electronics (plenty of room for dual ESC's and wiring needed for them) and also moves your battery between the skid and the front axle motor for improved COG. Battery install/removal is MUCH easier with this tray. I also took it the extra step and have machined the bottom of all of them for weight reduction...without sacrificing the strength needed (not one failure with over 50 in use currently). Stainless mounting hardware is also included with it. The skid is drill and tapped...this makes it so the screws that connect it to the skid will sit flush, keeping the entire top open for mounting without the worry of screws/nuts digging into your electronics!

This tray works with the stock chassis, and any aftermarket chassis that utilizies the stock skid. Find them here http://billet-works.com/bwd_xr-10_upgrades

Merry Christmas!

BW

PS, our new shock risers will hit the store next week!

Very nice! On my initial build, I skipped the two trays entirely, and used a lexan plate attached to the skid. Same concept. I may be very interested in getting one of these, as it would be a bit more elegant.

What are you pricing this piece at?

EDIT: Never mind, saw it was $20 on your site.

I'm in the process of building my XR-10 so I don't have any completion pictures but here is the BWD electronics tray mounted to the stock skid plate with the BWD XR-Wedge bodied side plates:
