Though I never crawled mine in stock trim, I did assemble it, and visually the difference in ground clearance is huge, breakovers will be much easier w/ the dramatic upswept rear links allowing the rear end do hang down and push you up over. It is money very well spent IMO, that and weighted front wheels will likely be the best bang for your buck.

What am I missing here, what would be the advantage of running the BWD uppers or any aftermarket upper links vs the stock Axial upper links?

The stock uppers are flimsy. A stiff link does wonders for your steering, dig ability, climb, sidehilling, etc...

Yeah what he said! The BWD links are awesome. I have them on mine as well. I highly recommend them. Another option is the C.I. universal lower links. They are very nice as well. Either way you can't go wrong.

Thanks DickyT. That makes alot of sense. You don't want your axle shifting side to side so tighter ends at the mounting point would make a hugh improvment also.

everything came friday but havent had a chance to install em yet. CI's stuff always looks great and these links are no exception. I was also looking for uppers and was undecided until i hit up TCS's clearance rack. I picked up a full set of TCS made Axial style high clearence links for 8 bucks! Got me some Jato and revo ends for my lowers and called a night....cant wait to beat on these bargains!

Yeah, the bent ti links.....I'm having trouble finding them, though. All the major vendors are carrying delrin

Ok, I'm not looking for delrin. I have seen some cool ti lowers on some build threads, but I can't seem to find them anymore.
