| These kits are like playing russian roulette. My first XR smoked the bearings in half a pack and my new XR has been taking a beating on all stock components. Either way go with the VP parts!

Welcome to the world of XR and broken gears lol. Get the gears from RC4WD and the VP goodies and you'll be set. Rig is looking sweet.

my spool popped when i was checking if i had the dig wired right on my tray table i didnt even have a servo on it yet or anything actually mounted now im running all hr with all the vp goods and the traxxas bushing under the link mount and ive only broken one ...same one dicky broke if im not mistaken but this was a serious bind it was either a gear or an axle and it decided to be the cheap one |

I know it sux, but its the nature of the beast. Its bullet proof or nothing. lol I think there were some bad gears out there, but the stockers just fail far too easily. The upgraded housing and motor plate will make it tougher as will hardened gears. The RC4WD gears are out- sold out. I think they've been up twice now. I ordered earlier this week while they were available. They'll be back. I think I've destroyed 4-5 pair of stock Final drive/spool gears, 2 sets in one comp! I know your getting some goodies, they'll help. |
