Can't tell in your completed pictures if you fixed it but in the picture of the side plates you have them on backwards... Otherwise nice job and have fun!! |

Truck looks nice I like how you painted the green part of the body and beadlock rings to match color. Any action shots on the rocks yet?

Thanks indeed, I figured after how she turned out she looked sickly therefore the name rolled along Quote:
Wasnt hard at all but was not sure at all on how she would look. I simply masked off what was going to be the green, then took a spray bottle of water set on super mist mode and just kind of misted the body untill I got the look I wanted (not soaked just misted). Then hit it with the green and oil base paints hate water so the paint kind of pushed the beads of water around to form the bubbly plague look. After the green was about 90% dry I hit it with the hair dryer to dry off the water then slapped it in the ass with some black and made sure it was a nice heavy coat. In the end I was shocked on how cool she turned out, and plan on trying with with various color schemes | ||

Okay, I just got home from my maiden voyage with the XR and I just have one word.... WOW! This rig is super amazing and just blows my mind with the side hilling, the DIG, the transitions & the overall performance of this rig! While I was out I compiled a list of questions for the MOA guys but first the pictures! I should have braught more than 2 packs because 3/4 through my run 3 guys showed up with their honchos and only got like 24 minutes to play with them, they were wowed by the XR too lol, PICTURE TIME! Hope this is enough pictures lol I could have kept on snapping but I had to packs to get me more. Now on to the questions: 1) When I pop my front tires over a lip and hit the DIG, my rig seems to just hop instead of trying to hookup and pull me over, what would cause this? 2)When I proceed my front tires to an obstacle, the rear wheels dont start turning until I give it a little more juice (not as bad as before with my 2 escs) would this issue cause the issue from question 1? 3)When im hittin the rocks, I really dont have the flex I thought I would, do these shocks have good flex from the get-go or what would be causing limited flex? 4) How the hell do I keep my lipo secured in the chassis battery slot? It doesnt come out but likes to move back and forth. Thanks guys for peeping! Last edited by EEM-CrawlinMachine; 04-19-2011 at 08:29 PM. |

#1 is gonna be those tires, or your suspension geometry. Rovers, Sedonas, Boss claws. dont waiste your time and $$$ on much else. #2 is clod stall, it can be advantageous, but its attributed to having your gear mesh w/ the pinion too tight, the rear wires being too long, and the motors you are using. id start w/ the gear mesh. #3 check your shocks, if you did not bleed them correctly, they can be too stiff. Also make sure that you dont have anything binding w/ the links and shocks when your rig articulates. #4 Velcro! i stick some on the batt, and some where i mount the batt |
