Default ~Chaotic Special Bodiless....Pro Edition~ *NOW IN CARBON FIBER*

So I was lucky enough to pick up the new chaotic crawlers bodiless "Pro Edition" it's a bit different since it uses a 1/16" delrin cab and a 1/16" delrin skid....

Specs go like this
Chaotic crawlers Pro edition bodiless
Chaotic crawlers TI links
D-Lux delrin link sliders
XR10 axles
Bomb proof RC4WD gears
Vp cases, motor plates F/R
Vp chubs and knuckles
Vp lock outs
Vp upper link mount F/R
D-Lux knuckle weights
7980 with chaotic crawlers servo guard
Home built front axle lipo mount
Bigron lipo mount modded into a esc/rx mount
SCX10 alum shocks
Mini-t springs
Jeepindougs spring cups
Jeepindougs shock stand off's
Brood big wire 35t's
Dual sidewinder micro's
Futaba 614FF RX
3s 610mah lipos

1st thing I did was put TI screws all around..I also asked for delrin lower braces instead of alum..I want to try and save all the chassis weight I can..
Alum 2g

The delrin version would not even read on my scale..
0g

Full chassis weight
2.65oz/75g...

Made some more progress...
This is a really easy build for me since all my electronics are on the front axle all I had to do was unbolt my axles from my bjv4 and bolt it all to the chaotic bodiless...the chaotic bodiless does not use the same links as my bj did so I threw some jato ends on to make It all fit until I can get my new links from the boys at chaotic...

so, when is the new bodiless chassis going to be available to us mere mortals? i've been waiting to switch my xr10 over to bodiless and this could be the one that motivates me to make the change.

I am sure your wife is cool with re arranging them for better lines.

got a bit more tuning and work done...

I had previously moded the shock caps on these scx10 shocks to take a revo end....it was kinda too big so I redid the rear's with the 3mm traxxas ends..I also ditched the losi angled rod ends on the axle..the rig was sitting a bit to high..this helped and got me closer to where I wanted it.

I put the hood and roof on for now...but I still need to paint and bend the side panels(hood and roof too)

here is a pretty ghetto iphone vid I shot...it was hard to get good angles just setting the phone on the ground and rocks...hehe

Lookin' good man. What do you think about the thinner delrin top compaired to Marc's heavier one? I'm considering making a new top for my Old School Bantam in the 1/16" also. I may even go with thinner Lexan for the panels.

thanks bud....
I love the 1/16" cabs and skids.....I ran one on my bjv4 and had no problems with it...once you add the roof panel it adds a good amount of support.
now if you drive hard all the time i'm sure you could/would break it...but not having all that weight up high is nice.
