vp bushings break in period?
 
just installed vp bushings...how long does it take to break them in? and r they always going to be this loud? :shock:

They are louder than bearings. Just run a few batteries out driving full speed up and down your driveway. They will get quieter.

Be aware, sometimes, the soldi bushings rub the gears (shouldn't I know, but they do. Two of us have had the same problem).
Seems the bushin allows the gears to shift against the face of the bushing and can rub/make noises. It will "naturally" bed in (i.e. wear the face of the bushing until it clears!!).
Mine are better now after a few packs.

I did notice a subtle increase in drag/tightness in the gears when first swapping out bearings to bushings (I run flanged bearings in the plate, then brass bushings in the side cover and the final bearing).
Although now it just seems spot on.
I am running stock gears too. 5 comps and many hours practicing and they are holding up (although did have the short gear shaft snap after some hard forward/backwards motions)
